(f/k/a PlayStation), Steve Fossett's 125' mega cat, used 7 Forte battens (the longest at 47') for the 2004 Jules Verne Challenge. With 7,244 square feet of upwind sail area, batten stiffness and durability were imperative. |

Forte built 6 sail battens (the longest at 40') for the 119' mega yacht Rebecca. The battens are of carbon/glass construction topped by a dry jacket of kevlar braid, and support a 346 sqm mainsail. Forte also built battens for the 144 sqm mizzen sail. |
